April 14 2008	The soundtrack for The Rapture wins a 2008 Bronze Telly Award! The soundtrack is now on iTunes and can be purchased at the online store.
March 31 2008	Uncle Pete's Playtime, a new series of shorts by Peter John Ross (Sonnyboo) was scored by Arya. Episodes 1, 2, and 3 are now online.
February 18 2008	Greater Threat, a new feature film by Great Threat Productions has been completed with scoring completed. Arya was the composer and music supervisor for Greater Threat.
October 21 2007	How to Handle Telemarketers, a new short by Peter John Ross (Sonnyboo) was scored by Arya - check it out at Crackle, Yahoo!, MetaCafe, Revver and/or YouTube.
October 18 2007	Episodes 1-6 are now online for the new Internet series C.R.Ops. The series is being scored by Arya.

August 16 2007	Madness, a film scored by Arya, will be playing at the Cleveland Cinematheque on Friday August 17th at 9pm. Additionally, an article has recently been published in Cleveland Magazine on the feature film.
August 1 2007	Trailers for A Joker's Card and The Rapture will be playing at The Indie Gathering 2007 (Cleveland, OH), at Wreck-Beach Film Festival (Canada), and The Short Film Screening at the Little Theater on August 4th (Philadelphia, PA).
July 31 2007	Arya will be a panelist on the sound/music panel at The Indie Gathering 2007 (August 3-5)
March 31 2007	Feature film Madness with musical score written by Arya will be screened at the Akron Independent Film and Video Festival on April 13th and 14th.
March 6 2007	Watch Harvey Daggit and the Devil's Olives another short film submission for On the Lot. Arya wrote music for the short film that was produced by Larry Longstreth.

February 19 2007	Watch the Crops Teaser Trailer and I'll be Home for Christmas, two short film submissions for the new Fox TV reality show, On the Lot.
January 31 2007	Equus, a Tony award winning drama, opens February 2nd, 2007 at the Beck Center for the Arts. Arya wrote and performed original music for the show.
January 25 2007	Madness, a feature length film by Bill Johns and score by Arya, will be playing at the Case Film Society's Local Filmmakers Night on January 25th, 2007.
January 24 2007	A 30 second teaser commercial for The Rapture will be aired on Sports Time Ohio; it features score material by Arya.
October 31 2006	A brand new teaser trailer for The Rapture with original music by Arya has been released for distribution at the AFM - check it out! Also, check out Behind the Scenes video 5.
October 26 2006	Behind the Scenes Videos 1-4 for the Rapture (MDI Film, Inc.) are now available for viewing. Arya has written the music for these 3 minute pieces. Behind the Scenes 5 is currently being scored.
October 20 2006	Alone (Two Martinis Productions, LLC) has been released on DVD and is available to purchase. You can purchase the Alone DVD at Filmbaby. Arya wrote part of the score and re-orchestrated other cues written by George Butiri.
August 18 2006	Arya writes trailer music for Girls Guide to Having it All (Autumn Haze Pictures), a documentary about women's life experiences. The trailer played at the Local Girl Gallery in Lakewood OH. Look for the finished film sometime in 2007.
August 15 2006	Crops (Two Martinis Productions) picks up an Audio/Visual Editing award and a Scriptwriting award at the Broken Lamp Film Festival. Arya wrote the music for the film and the soundtrack to Crops is available to purchase directly or from CDBaby.
August 7 2006	The Lesson (MDI Film Inc) and Passing the Bar (Laugh-a-lot Productions) win 1st place for martial arts and 2nd place for feature film comedy at the IndieGathering 2006. Both films were scored by Arya.

July 31 2006	River Dance theme, written by Arya, is used in teaser trailer for The Losers have a Junkyard.
July 17 2006	The original music score to the independent feature film Crops has been released on CD to coincide with the UK screening of the film on July 13, 2006. The music contains elements of orchestral and electronic and was widely applauded during the Cleveland OH screening premiere at Crocker Park. Award Winning Composer Composer Aryavarta Kumar (Arya) wrote over 70 minutes of original music for the feature length film Crops, produced by Two Martinis Productions. "Crops marks my second collaboration with George [Butiri]," says Arya, "and it's been a pleasure to work with him and collaborate on a scale that takes his wonderful script ideas to the screen." Mr. Butiri remarked "I can't wait for the Crops Series. It's been a pleasure working with Arya and look forward to having him score future Crops endeavours and other projects." The film Crops is a story that takes place in the 21st century and stars Shelia Weiss, Zara Phythian, Ray Goodwin, Nick Tatalovich, Jami Ross, Gabryel Ali, and Joseph Primes. We have discovered that we are not alone in the Universe. While terrorism runs wild in every country, an alien threat develops outside our world. A.C.E. (Alien Combat Element) fights a losing war, until a team of four find Anna, a young girl that may very well hold the key to winning the war.
May 15 2006	Arya has signed on to write music for the RPG computer game Lands of Alstaria created by Nick Spolec. The feature film project Madness has also been completed with a end credits song to be sung by Jami Ross.

February 22 2006	The 3rd Semi Annual Look At My Shorts Film Festival in Columbus Ohio has selected two short films scored by Aryavarta Kumar (Arya) to play on Sunday February 26, 2006. The two films - "Going Postal" (MDI Film Inc) and "Rubble" (Killer Squirrel Productions) were invited and made official selections this year by the directors of the independent film festival. In attendance at the festival will be many central Ohio filmmakers and film enthusiasts including a group from Cleveland Ohio. The four hour program will begin at 4pm and promises to be a great networking opportunity. Aryavarta Kumar, who will be in attendance, commented "It will be wonderful to meet filmmakers and showcase my collaborations with Johnny [Wu] and Christine [Chapman]."

Crops the movie (Two Martinis Productions) is now in post-production. Arya is working on writing and recording a mix of orchestral and electronic instrumentation for this soundtrack.

June/July 2005	Purchase the Original Motion Picture Soundtrack to "A Joker's Card" which is receiving great reviews for both the fan film itself and the soundtrack. Still working on a soundtrack release for Alone, a music project I co-directed with George Butiri with a planned soundtrack release in July 2005. Working on new teaser music for movie Crops - check it out here. I'll be writing an article for local artist magazine Blue-ize. Also check me out in the IMDB. Finally, Left for Dead (Cinevid Productions) and A Joker's Card (MDI Films) both have received Telly Awards this year. I helped out with additional music in Left for Dead and scored the entire short film A Joker's Card.
May 2005	Purchase the Original Motion Picture Soundtrack to "A Joker's Card" which is receiving great reviews for both the fan film itself and the soundtrack. Finished work on trailer music for Destiny Fulfilled based on ambient Asian themes. I'm currently working on a soundtrack release for Alone, a music project I co-directed with George Butiri with a planned soundtrack release in May or early June 2005. I've signed on to score indie feature "Dead Silent" by Bill Alexander. Also I'm looking forward to working with a middle eastern vocalist for the soundtrack to "Crops" being produced by Two Martinis Productions.
May 2005	Purchase the Original Motion Picture Soundtrack to "A Joker's Card". Currently working on trailer music for Destiny Fulfilled, Indieclub Composer Competition, soundtrack release for Alone, and some other small projects. Middle Eastern singer audition for the movie Crops is on the 24th of April.
March 2005	Finished work on A Joker's Card and Alone. Soundtrack information coming soon. Click on the links to see more information about the premieres in April.
February 2005	Premiere is being finalized for A Joker's Card in April. More details to follow about a DVD release and a CD release of the original soundtrack. Also starting to help out a film entitled Alone produced by Two Martinis Productions.
